Black Walnut Yeo-Baek Vase

Yeo-baek. It's a Korean word that doesn't translate neatly into English. Lingering space. The idea that what you leave out matters as much as what you put in.

This vase is built around that idea. The open form, the asymmetry, the single narrow neck drawing your eye upward. It came from a black walnut tree on a heavy lean that I had to take down. Flawed, but beautiful. I wanted to keep that.

For dried flowers and stems. Approx 6" tall x 4" wide x 2" deep. Each piece is one of a kind.
